Squaliformes (subclass Elasmobranchii, superorder Selachimorpha) An order of sharks that have two dorsal fins of about equal size and no anal fin. The dorsal fins may be preceded by a spine. The order includes the families Pristiophoridae, Squalidae, and Squatinidae.
