Odontostomatida
Odontostomatida (class Ciliatea, subclass Spirotrichia) An order of ciliate protozoa whose cells are compressed and wedge-shaped. Body cilia usually are confined to several rows at each end. There are two families, with several genera, found in freshwater habitats that contain organic material and that are deficient in oxygen.
