Hypnobryales
Hypnobryales (subclass Bryidae) An order of pleurocarpous, slender to robust mosses. The leaves are lanceolate to rounded, and may be nerveless or have a single or double nerve. The capsule is ovoid or cylindrical and inclined or horizontal; the peristome is double. There are many genera, including Brachythecium, Eurhynchium, Homalothecium, Hylocomium, Hypnum, Rhynchostegium, and Rhytidiadelphus. They are found in a wide range of habitats.
