Hypertragulidae (order Artiodactyla, superfamily Traguloidea) A family of primitive ruminants that are often included in the Pecora in the broadest sense. A few representatives are known from the late Eocene and Oligocene of Eurasia, but the family as a whole flourished in the Oligocene and early Miocene of N. America.
