CRINAGORAS OF CARYSTUS ° (fl. 240 b.c.e.), elegaic poet, author of an epigram (Palatine Anthology, 7:645) which speaks of the philosopher Philostratus reposing under a monument on the banks of the Nile visible as far as Judea (the reading "Judea" is probable but not certain).
