Wayne D. Ackerman Family Scholarship Fund (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarship assistance to qualified individuals who want to pursue their studies. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be senior students attending high school in Stark County, OH; must be enrolled as full-time students; must have GPA of at least 3.0 on 4.0 scale; must demonstrate outstanding involvement both in academics and extracurricular activities; must have been accepted into a four-year college or university. American Guild of Organists, Canton Chapter Charitable Fund (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarship assistance to qualified individuals who want to pursue their studies. Focus: Music. Qualif.: Applicants must be students residing in Stark County, without regard to gender, race, color, creed or nationality who are pursuing a four-year bachelor degree program at an accredited college or university in music with a major in instrument; must show an evidence of competent technique and musicianship. Criteria: Selection of applicants will be based on the scholarship selection criteria.

Purpose: To provide scholarship assistance to qualified individuals who want to pursue their studies. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicants must be attending or planning to attend university or nursing school offering a Registered Nursing Degree; must have GPA of 2.5 or higher; must demonstrate financial need. Sheriff W. Bruce Umpleby Law Enforcement Scholarship Fund (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarship assistance to qualified individuals who want to pursue their studies. Focus: Law enforcement. Qualif.: Applicants must be students who are seniors attending high school either inside or outside Stark County, who will graduate with their class, or are graduates of a high school either inside or outside Stark County; must be enrolled as full-time students; must have achieved cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; must have demonstrated outstanding involvement both in academics and extra curricular activities; must have been accepted, into a post secondary institution with plans to major in law enforcement. Criteria: Recipient will be selected based on academic standing and extracurricular activities.

Harry D. Callahan Educational Trust (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarship assistance to qualified individuals who want to pursue their studies. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be students residing in Stark County who are pursuing a two-year or four-year college degree at an accredited school within approximately 150 miles of Canton; must have participation in athletics, government and other extracurricular and community activities; and must demonstrate leadership qualities. Criteria: Recipients will be selected based on financial need and scholastic ability.

Purpose: To provide scholarship assistance to qualified applicants from Stark County, Ohio. Focus: Music. Qualif.: Applicants must be high school students and present college students with an interest in studying music, have an inner feeling for music and whose lives have reflected the spiritual qualities, depth, understanding and love. Criteria: Recipients will be selected based on financial need and scholastic ability.

Julio C. Diaz Memorial Scholarship Fund (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarship assistance to qualified individuals who want to pursue their studies. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be attending or who have been accepted at St. Thomas Aquinas High School; must have GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on the following criteria: (1) Completion of scholarship application; (2) Demonstration of financial need; (3) Achievement of minimum cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; (4) Demonstration of involvement in extracurricular activities or community service project; (5) Demonstration of commitment to anti-tobacco use. Consideration will be given to qualified candidates of Hispanic descent.

Rob Digiacomo Scholarship Fund (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarship assistance to qualified individuals who want to pursue their studies. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be graduating seniors residing at the Lake Local School District; must demonstrate commitment to excellence in academic and athletic accomplishments; must have exceptional moral and personal characteristics; must have leadership skills; and must demonstrate devotion to family. Emergency Medicine Physician Scholarships for Health Information Management Program (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarship assistance to qualified individuals who want to pursue their studies. Focus: Health education. Qualif.: Applicants must be students beginning the second year of study at Stark State College and enrolled full time in the Health Information Management Technology program; must have minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; must complete his/her education at the conclusion of spring semester; must have interview with the EMP Manager of Coding and Senior Executives. Emergency Medicine Physicians Scholarship Fund for Non-Physician Employee Dependents (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarship assistance to qualified individuals who want to pursue their studies. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be dependent children of non-physician employees of Emergency Medicine Physicians, Inc. who are pursuing or applying for college level studies. Criteria: Selection of applicant must be based on academic performance, extracurricular activities, and leadership and community activities or services.

Jack B. Fisher Scholarship Fund (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarship assistance to qualified individuals who want to pursue their studies. Focus: Fisheries sciences/management. Qualif.: Applicants must be graduate of a Stark County High school and current employees of Fisher Foods in good standing (If employed during high school, a minimum of one year of employment is required. If employed after graduation from high school, a minimum of 2 years of employment is required); must have above average accomplishment in high school; must demonstrate good moral and personal characteristics. Criteria: Recipients will be selected based on the scholarship selection criteria.

Alice J. Foit Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarship assistance to qualified individuals who want to pursue their studies. Focus: General Studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be high school graduates or seniors residing in Carroll County, German Township, Harrison County, OH; must be enrolled as full time students; must have achieved high school cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, and if attending college a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale; must have demonstrated involvement, both in extracurricular activities or community and religious activities; must have been accepted into a two or four year college on university program leading to a degree; must intend to live in or work in either Carroll or Harrison County, OH for a minimum of two year after completion of their education. Thomas W. Gallagher Scholarship Fund (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarship assistance to qualified individuals who want to pursue their studies. Focus: Pharmacy. Qualif.: Applicants must be seniors attending Minerva High School, Minerva, OH or will be graduated with his/her class; must be full-time students who have been accepted into a four-year college or university to pursue a degree in pharmacy; must be full-time students who have been accepted into a four-year college or university to study in the field of science (if no students pursuing a degree in pharmacy have applied). Criteria: Consideration will be given to students pursuing a degree in pharmacy.

Purpose: To provide scholarship assistance to qualified individuals who want to pursue their studies. Focus: Natural sciences; Mathematics and mathematical sciences; History. Qualif.: Applicants must be Stark County public high school female graduates who attend or will attend Oberlin College; must have a major in one of the natural sciences, mathematics, or history; must have extracurricular activities, especially those demonstrating interest in science; must demonstrate diligent effort, responsibility and financial need. Criteria: Recipients will be selected based on the scholarship selection criteria.

Velma Shotwell Griffin Memorial Scholarship Fund (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarship assistance to qualified individuals who want to pursue their studies. Focus: History; Writing; Music. Qualif.: Applicants must be graduates of Conotton Valley High School or Carrollton High School; must be planning to enroll, or currently enrolled, at an accredited college or university to pursue further education in the following fields: (1) History; (2) Writing, not limited to, English Journalism, Language Arts, Communications and programs in Mass Media; (3) Music, not limited to vocal music, instrumental music, music history, music education, and music performance; (4) Any other program or field of study approved by the selection committee. Criteria: Recipients will be selected based on the following criteria: (1) Academic merit; (2) Participation in extracurricular school and civic activities related to History, Writing or Music, good moral and personal characteristics; (3) Good moral and personal characteristics, including integrity and an interest in their communities; (4) Demonstrated interest in History, Writing or Music and commitment to the further study of these subject; (5) Demonstrate financial need.

Purpose: To provide scholarship assistance to qualified individuals who want to pursue their studies. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be graduating seniors at Jackson High School or Jackson High School graduates who are currently enrolled as full-time college students; must have minimum GPA of 2.5 or above. Criteria: Selection of applicants will be based on their demonstration of community service, involvement in extracurricular activities, academic standing, and personal interview with Selection Committee.

Purpose: To provide scholarship assistance to qualified individuals who want to pursue their studies. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be high school seniors who have participated in Junior Achievement of Stark County. Criteria: Recipients will be selected based on the following criteria: (1) Participation in J.A.; (2) Demonstrated support of free enterprise system; (3) Academic achievement; (4) Extracurricular activities; (5) Service to school and community; (6) Service to school and community; (7) Anticipated ability to succeed in college.
