Description: State-supported, 2-year, coed. Part of University of Hawaii System. Awards transfer associate and terminal associate degrees. Founded 1968. Setting: 49-acre suburban campus with easy access to Honolulu. Total enrollment: 6,201. Students come from 25 states and territories, 35% 25 or older. Calendar: semesters. Academic remediation for entering students, ESL program, services for LD students, advanced placement, honors program, independent study, distance learning, summer session for credit, part-time degree program, adult/continuing education programs, co-op programs and internships. Off campus study at other units of the University of Hawaii System. ROTC: Army, Air Force (c).

Entrance Requirements: Open admission. Option: early admission. Required for some: high school transcript, recommendations. Entrance: noncompetitive. Application deadline: 8/15. Notification: continuous until 8/19. Preference given to state residents.
