Description: Independent Methodist, comprehensive, coed. Awards associate, bachelor's, and master's degrees. Founded 1854. Setting: 80-acre small town campus. Endowment: $19.3 million. Community Environment: Fayette (population 3,520) is the county seat of Howard County and is in an area that is noted for the production of purebred cattle. Both Kansas City and St. Louis are about a two-hour drive away. The cultural facilities of both large cities are available and add charm to the community.
