Mentoring Travel Grants for Women (Postdoctorate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To help young women to develop a long-term working and mentoring relationship with senior mathematicians. Focus: Mathematics and mathematical sciences. Qualif.: Applicants must be women holding a doctorate degree or equivalent with a work address in the United States; must be in a field supported by the Division of the Mathematical Sciences of the National Science Foundation. Criteria: Awards will be determined on a competitive basis by a selection panel consisting of distinguished mathematicians appointed by the AWM.

Funds Avail.: $5,000. Number Awarded: 7. To Apply: Applicants must have a curriculum vitae; must provide a research proposal which specifies why the proposed travel would be particularly beneficial; must submit a supporting letter from the proposed mentor with the curriculum vitae of the proposed mentor; must have a proposed budget and information about other sources of funding available. Deadline: February 8.

Travel Grants for Women Researchers (Postdoctorate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To enable women to attend research conferences in their fields and to provide valuable opportunities for them to advance their research activities and their visibility in the research community. Focus: Mathematics and mathematical sciences. Qualif.: Applicants must be women holding a doctorate degree and with a work address in the USA. Criteria: Awards will be determined on a competitive basis by a selection panel consisting of distinguished mathematicians appointed by the AWM.

Funds Avail.: $1,500 for domestic travel and $2,000 for
