David L. Boren Undergraduate Scholarships (Graduate, Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide funding for graduate and undergraduate study in a number of targeted countries and fields. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be students currently enrolled in undergraduate study or graduates planning to attend graduate school; and must have desire to study foreign languages in addition to any major-related study. Criteria: Preferences are given for those students who are interested in studying critical languages or fields related to security interest.

Funds Avail.: $10,000 up to $20,000. To Apply: Applicants must complete official application form which can be obtained from the Loyola College faculty representative. Applicants must also submit application forms online together with the 3 letters of recommendation, and 4 semesters' worth of transcripts. Deadline: February 10.

CIA Undergraduate Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To assist minority, disabled and non-disabled deserving students to increase knowledge and academic skills. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be high school seniors planning to enroll in a 4- or 5-year college program, or college sophomores enrolled in a 4- or 5-year college program. Criteria: Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Funds Avail.: $18,000. To Apply: Applicants must apply online and must successfully complete medical and psychological exam, polygraph interview and extensive background investigation.
