ALPFA Scholarship Programs (Postgraduate, Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To financially support Hispanic students pursuing studies in accounting, finance, IT or related field. Focus: Business; Finance; Accounting. Qualif.: Applicants must be full-time Hispanic students or of Hispanic descent; U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the United States or Puerto Rico; attending an accredited university; have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 and above on a 4.0 scale; must demonstrate financial need; and pursuing an undergraduate or master's degree in business, finance and accounting. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on the selection committee's review of all applications.

Funds Avail.: $1,250-$1,500. To Apply: Applicants must register first in order to apply online (please visit the website). Applicants must submit an official transcript; proof of family income and citizen status; an essay; letter of recommendation; resume; and The Financial Aid Verification (for semi-finalist only). D. Glenn Hilts Scholarships Program (Graduate, Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To encourage employment of potential leaders in a Seventh-day Adventist Library while upholding excellence in scholarship. Focus: General studies; Library and archival sciences. Qualif.: Applicant must be a Seventh-Day Adventist in good standing; be accepted in an American Library Association accredited library school; and must be a full-time student. Criteria: Priority is given to applicants with complete application packages.

Funds Avail.: $1,200. To Apply: Applicant must submit completed application form available at the website; submit a copy of the acceptance letter from the ALA-accredited library; GRE scores; an essay (maximum of three pages); high school and college transcripts; three letters of reference (there must be one from the applicant's Seventh-day Adventist pastor).
