AFFIRM University Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarships for undergraduate students to achieve a degree in Information Technology. Focus: Information science and technology; Technology. Qualif.: Applicant must be a full-time student (12 credits or more); must be a junior or above; have a minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA; majoring in some aspect of information technology or related field. Criteria: U.S. Citizens are given preference.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount is given. To Apply: Scholarship applications will be provided by the universities; applicants must prepare a letter of reference from a professor.

Lisa Winkler Memorial Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide educational assistance for graduates of Edison High School who wish to continue their education in Information Technology. Focus: Information science and technology; Technology. Qualif.: Applicant must be a graduating senior who completed two full-years at Edison High School; accepted at an accredited four-year college/university; have a minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA by the end of the first semester (senior year). Criteria: Applicants who are members of honor societies will be given consideration.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicant must prepare an essay (maximum of 200) on “Why I would like to pursue a career in information technology in the Federal Government”.

Remarks: In memory of Lisa Winkler, for her devotion to support of IT education.
