Description:

State and locally supported, 2-year, coed. Part of South Carolina State Board for Technical and Comprehensive Education. Awards certificates, diplomas, transfer associate, and terminal associate degrees. Founded 1972. Setting: 88-acre rural campus. Endowment: $539,800. Educational spending 2003-04: $3608 per student. Total enrollment: 2,339. 1,155 applied, 100% were admitted. 3% from top 10% of their high school class, 12% from top quarter, 39% from top half. Full-time: 1,048 students, 60% women, 40% men.
