Arctic heath
Arctic heath Arctic heath is found in the low and middle Arctic belts of the tundra. Normally it is dominated by members of the heath family (Ericaceae) or by heath-like plants, e.g. Vaccinium vitis-idaea (crowberry). Arctic heaths tend to be restricted to relatively well-drained sites that are sheltered and snow-covered in winter.
