Schoen-René, Anna

Schoen-René, Anna, German-American singing teacher; b. Koblenz, Jan. 12, 1864; d. N.Y., Nov. 13, 1942. She studied singing with Pauline Viardot-Garcfa. She appeared in opera before settling in the U.S., where she taught in Minneapolis and then at the Juilliard School of Music in N.Y. She publ. a book of memoirs, America’s Musical Heritage (N.Y., 1941).
