Rusconi, Gerardo , Italian composer; b. Milan, Feb. 1, 1922; d. there, Dec. 23, 1974. He studied at the Parma Cons., and began his career as a composer by writing light music for the stage, radio, and the films; then undertook more serious genres of music. He composed La moglie di Lot for Soprano, Horn, and Piano (1962), Concerto breve for Horn and Strings (1965), 3 musiche for Flute and Piano (1967), Moments for Orch. in memory of Martin Luther King (1968), L’appuntamento, opera (1971), and numerous transcriptions and harmonizations of popular songs.
