Rogé, Pascal

Rogé, Pascal , French pianist; b. Paris, April 6, 1951. He entered the Paris Cons. at age 11 and made his debut as a soloist at the same age in Paris; his principal teacher was L. Descaves, and he graduated with premiers prix in piano and chamber music (1966); then studied with Julius Katchen (1966–69). In 1969 he made his London debut; after winning joint lsl prize in the Long-Thibaud Competition in Paris in 1971, he pursued a successful international career.
