Fryklund, (Lars Axel) Daniel
Fryklund, (Lars Axel) Daniel, Swedish musicologist; b. Vasterås, May 4, 1879; d. Hàlsingborg, Aug. 25, 1965. He studied Romanic philology at the Univ. of Uppsala (Ph.D., 1907). He taught at the Univ. of Hàlsingborg (1921–14). He was a specialist in the history and etymology of musical instruments; publ. many articles and books, and also amassed a collection of over 800 musical instruments and 10,000 MSS.
