Coenen, Willem

Coenen, Willem, Dutch pianist, teacher, and composer, brother of Frans Coenen; b. Rotterdam, Nov. 17, 1837; d. Lugano, March 18, 1918. After traveling in South America and the West Indies, he was active in London (1862–1909). He wrote an oratorio, Lazarus (1878), masses, cantatas, songs, and piano pieces.
