Aranaz y Vides, Pedro
Aranaz y Vides, Pedro, Spanish composer and priest; b. Tudela, Navarre (baptized), May 2, 1740; d. Cuenca, Sept. 24, 1820. He studied with Luis Serra at El Pilar Cathedral in Saragossa. From 1769 to 1797 he was maestro de capilla at Cuenca Cathedral. In 1773 he became a priest. He wrote numerous sacred works and some fine tonadillas.
