Eliska (Geislerova) is a confident young medical student in 1943 Prague whose life is interrupted by the Nazi invasion. She joins the resistance, but her cell is soon discovered, forcing her to flee with a sympathetic patient (Cserhalmi) to a rural village. In order to avert suspicion, she must marry the man and try to fit in. Slowly and gracefully follows Eliska's initial hesitation with her new benefactor and environment until she is won over by their kindness and strength of character. Lovingly shot and acted, if a bit overlong. 150m/C DVD . CZ AT Anna Geislerova, Ivan Trojan, Jan Hrusinsky, Iva Bittova, Tomas Zatecka, Jaroslava Adamova; D: Ondrej Trojan; W: Petr Jarchovsky; C: Asen Sopov; M: Petr Ostouchov.
