Two jokes, no waiting! Shandling's feature film debut tries to be a comment on how differently men and women view sex and relationships, but it spends most of its time with a humming penis. Shandling is an alien sent from a planet of test tube people to impregnate an earth woman, once he's given the proper equipment (which has the previously mentioned unfortunate feature). He disguises himself as Harold, a bank executive, and gets dating tips from a philandering co-worker (Kinnear) who recommends AA meetings as a great pickup place. His direct approach (“You smell nice”) somehow attracts a recovering alcoholic (Bening) who's on the biological clock. The other joke (and better of the two) involves a hen-pecked FAA inspector who's suspicious of Harold's origins. Shandling's limited range is exposed, and the juvenile script doesn't do him any favors. 107m/C VHS, DVD .
