Duchess of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha . Name variations: Marie of Wurttemberg; Mary von Württemberg. Born on September 17, 1799, in Coburg, Bavaria, Germany; died on September 24, 1860, in Gotha, Thuringia, Germany; daughter of Alexander, duke of Wurttemberg, and Antoinette Saxe-Coburg (1779–1824); cousin of Queen Victoria ; became second wife of Ernest I (1784–1844), duke of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, on December 23, 1832. Ernest I's first wife was Louise of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg (1800–1831).
