English noblewoman. Name variations: Lady Catherine Killigrew; Katherine. Born around 1530; died in 1583; fourth daughter of Sir Anthony Cooke (1504–1576, a politician and tutor to Edward, the prince of Wales); married Sir Henry Killigrew, in 1565.
Lady Catherine Killigrew was born around 1530, the fourth daughter of Sir Anthony Cooke, a politician and tutor to Edward, the prince of Wales (the future Edward VI). She was said to have been a lady of learning, proficient in Hebrew, Greek, and Latin.
