Archduchess of Austria. Name variations: Anna Katharina of Gonzaga-Mantua. Born on January 17, 1566, in Mantua; died on August 3, 1621, in Innsbruck; daughter of Eleonora of Austria (1534–1594) and Guglielmo Gonzaga (1538–1587), 3rd duke of Mantua (r. 1550–1587), duke of Monferrato; was second wife of Ferdinand II, archduke of Austria; children: Maria (1584–1649); Anna Gonzaga (1585–1618, who married Holy Roman Emperor Matthias). Ferdinand II's first wife was Philippine Welser .
