Russian cinematographer, scriptwriter and short-story writer. Name variations: Viktoriia Samoilovna Tókareva. Born Nov 20, 1937, in Leningrad, USSR; attended Moscow Institute of Cinematography.
A cinematographer by trade, came to prominence with 1st story "A Day Without Lives" (1964); other popular stories include "Centre of Gravity," "Nothing Special," and "Dry Run"; also wrote screenplays, tv scripts and the novella A Long Day.
