Northern Ireland politician. Born Edith Ashover Hind, Nov 11, 1909, in Nottingham, England; died 1997; niece of John Andrews, 1st PM of Northern Ireland; m. Redmond Thibeaudeau Taggart.
As a Unionist, elected to the Northern Ireland Senate in a by-election (1970–72), the 1st woman to serve in the Northern Ireland Parliament; was a founder of Age Concern (1976). Appointed OBE (1964).
