English golfer. Name variations: Mrs. Temple Dobell. Born in Rock Ferry, England, in 1888; died in Wirral, England, in 1960; married Temple Dobell.
Golfer Gladys Ravenscroft won the 1912 British Women's Amateur. When she placed first at the 1913 USGA Women's Amateur, she was the third non-American woman to win the championship. Ravenscroft beat two other Brits to take the prize that year: Muriel Dodd , the reigning British champion, and Marion Hollins , whom she toppled in the final round.
