Born Maria Francisca in 1825; died of breast cancer in 1860; dau. of Cipriano Guzman y Porto Carrero, count of Teba (subsequently count of Montijo and grandee of Spain) and Manuela Kirkpatrick, countess of Montijo (dau. of William Kirkpatrick, US consul at Malaga); sister of Eugénie (1826–1920), empress of France; married the duke of Alba and Berwick.
