Finnish politician. Born July 12, 1956, in Joensuu, Finland.
Member of the Finnish Parliament (1987–95) and the Finnish group in the International Parliamentary Union (IPU, 1987–95); as a European Socialist (PSE), elected to 4th and 5th European Parliament (1994–99, 1999–2004) and named vice-chair of the PSE Group (1996).
