Mellon, Harriot (c. 1777–1837)
English actress and duchess of St. Albans. Born c. 1777 in London, England; died in 1837; m. Thomas Coutts (a banker), 1815 (d. 1822); stepgrandmother of Angela Burdett-Coutts; m. William Aubrey de Vere, 9th duke of St. Albans, 1827.
Made acting debut (1787); appeared at Drury Lane (1795–1815).
