Matriarch of the House of Medici. Name variations: Piccarda Bueri. Buried next to her husband in the "Old Sacristy" in the church of San Lorenzo; m. Giovanni de Medici, known as Giovanni di Bicci de Medici (1360–1429 or 1428); children: Cosimo the Elder de Medici (1389–1464), ruler of Florence (r. 1434–1464); Lorenzo de Medici (1395–1440).
