Made Broadway debut in 50 Million Frenchmen (1929), followed by Girl Crazy, The 9 O'Clock Revue, Take a Chance, Jubilee, and Sweethearts, among others; films include Take a Chance, Ladies Must Love, Gift of Gab, Wake Up and Dream, Broadway Melody of 1935 and The House Across the Bay; retired (1949).
