Duchess of Waldeck and Pyrmont. Name variations: Helene or Hélène Henrietta von Nassau. Born Helen Wilhelmina Henrietta Pauline Marianne on August 12, 1831; died on October 27, 1888; daughter of William (b. 1792), duke of Nassau, and Pauline of Wurttemberg (1810–1856); married George II Victor, prince of Waldeck and Pyrmont, on September 26, 1853; children: Sophie Nicoline (1854–1869); Pauline Emma (1855–1925, who married Alexis, 4th prince of Bentheim and Steinfurt); Maria of Waldeck (1857–1882); Emma of Waldeck (1858–1898, queen and regent of the Netherlands); Helen of Waldeck and Pyrmont (1861–1922); Frederick, prince of Waldeck and Pyrmont (1865–1946); Elizabeth (b. 1873, who married Alexander, prince of Erbach-Schönberg).
