Princess of Waldeck and Pyrmont. Name variations: Marie of Waldeck and Pyrmont. Born on May 23, 1857; died on April 30, 1882; daughter of George II Victor, prince of Waldeck and Pyrmont, and Helen of Nassau (1831–1888); became first wife of William II (1848–1921), king of Wurttemberg (r. 1891–1918, abdicated), on February 15, 1877; children: Pauline of Wurttemberg (1877–1965, who married Frederick, prince of Wied); Ulrich (b. 1880). William II married his second wife, Princess Charlotte of Schaumburg-Lippe (1864–1946), on April 8, 1886.
