Afican-American track-and-field athlete. Born Feb 8, 1930, in Carrollton, Georgia.

Won a gold medal in the 4 × 100-meter relay in the Helsinki Olympics (1952); won AAU indoor 50 yards (1951) and AAU outdoor double (1952).
