Italian poet and literary critic. Born 1923 in Naples, Italy; died 1992; received degree in philosophy from University of Milan.
Became active in politics and edited several cultural periodicals; with Franco Fortini, Luciano Amodio, and Roberto Guiducci, launched literary-political journal Ragionamenti (1955); contributed to newspapers and worked for Swiss television; works include Poesie per un uomo (1965), Il mito Pavese (1967), La donna non è gente (1977), La lettererature della nuova Africa (1979), A colpi di silenzio (1982), and A testa in giù (1984).
