Won US Jr. nationals (1978–79) and US nationals (1983), in 100-meter hurdles; won 4 NCAA titles; won a gold medal at Pan American Games (1983); at Los Angeles Olympics, won a gold medal for 100-meter hurdles (1984); became director of US Olympic training centers and president of Women's Sports Foundation (1997); became president of Women in Cable and Telecommunications (2001). Named Hurdler of the Decade by Track and Field News (1989).
