Made London stage debut as a dancer (1910); appeared as lead or second lead in numerous plays, including as Margaret Harris in Cavalcade and Madame Arcati in Blithe Spirit; made Broadway debut at age 14 in The Red Mill; films include Cavalcade, The Letter and Berkeley Square.
