microdata Data-sets containing information on individual respondents to an enquiry, be they persons, households, or organizations such as schools or companies. Microdata are virtually always anonymized, with not only names and addresses omitted to preserve confidentiality, but also detailed geographical or industry codes sometimes deleted or broadbanded to obscure identities.
