Neil Merton Judd
1887-?
American archaeologist best known for his participation in the Pueblo Bonito excavation in Chaco Culture National Historical Park in New Mexico, a site noted not only for its great size and fine masonry architecture, but also for its wealth of unusual cultural materials, unsurpassed in the Southwest. Judd also authored several books, including one about the history of the Bureau of American Ethnology that was published in 1967.
