Fan R. K. Chung
1949-
Taiwanese-American mathematician who earned her Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1974 and worked for 20 years at Bell Labs in the area of combinatorics. She is well respected for her teaching, research, and support of women in mathematics and the sciences. Her research interests include spectral graph theory, discrete geometry, algorithms, and communication networks.
