Salangidae
Salangidae (icefish, glassfish; superorder Protacanthopterygii, order Salmoniformes) A family of slender marine fish that have cigar-shaped bodies which are scaleless and almost transparent, a pointed head, a large anal fin, a single, soft-rayed, dorsal fin, a forked tail fin, and a small adipose fin. Icefish are small (about 10 cm long) but nevertheless important as food fish. There are 14 species, found in the north-western Pacific.
