hemipenis In male Squamata, one half of the paired, erectile, copulatory organ, protruded through the cloaca. Only one hemipenis is inserted into the body of the female, which one being a matter of chance, and sperm is carried from the testes by ducts that open into the cloaca, whence it flows along a groove on the surface of the hemipenis.
