Cedrus

Cedrus (cedars; family Pinaceae) A genus of elegant, evergreen conifers, which are large, spreading trees with valuable timber, and often planted for ornament. The needles are clustered on short shoots. There are four species: C. libani, the cedar of Lebanon; C. atlantica, Atlantic (or Atlas) cedar: C. brevifolia, the Cyprus cedar; and C. deodara, the deodar of the Himalayas.
