Agrobacterium
Agrobacterium (family Rhizobiaceae) A genus of bacteria most of which are capable of causing the formation of galls in plants. No species can fix atmospheric nitrogen. A. tumefaciens causes crown gall in many types of plant and is a serious plant pathogen in many parts of the world. These bacteria are found also in soil.
