Shōbō (Jap., ‘true dharma’).
1. The teaching of the Buddha, hence shōbō-shū, ‘Buddhism’ in Eng.

2. ‘Appropriate reward', main reward for karma in previous lives, i.e. this body and life—in contrast to ehō, ‘dependent reward’, i.e. secondary consequences such as house, place, and possessions.
