Eger, Akiba ben Moses
Eger, Akiba ben Moses, known also as Akiva Gins (1761–1837). German rabbi. Despite the opposition of the reform movement, he became unofficial chief rabbi of Posen where he established a large yeshivah. Various editions of his responsa were published both in his lifetime and after his death.
