Burnett, Frances
Burnett, Frances (1849–1924) US writer, b. England. Burnett is chiefly remembered as the author of the children's classics Little Lord Fauntleroy (1886), The Little Princess (1905), and The Secret Garden (1911). She also wrote novels and plays for older audiences.
