ADAPTATIONS

The 1996 film Joyu-rei was based on a story by Nakata. The 1997 television program Gakko no kaidan F was based on two stories by Nakara: "Hoken-shitsu" and "Rei Video." The film Dark Water, released by Buena Vista in 2005, was based on Nakata's 2002 film Honogurai mizu no soko kara.
